Nay, by the Moon 32 By the receding night 33 And by the Dawn as it shineth forth,- 34 surely (Hell) is one of the greatest Signs, 35 as a warner to mortals. 36 To whoever wills among you to proceed or stay behind. 37 Each one is a hostage to one's deeds, 38 except the people of the right hand 39 who will be in Paradise 40 Of evil-doers: 41 "What took you into the hell?" 42 They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer their Salat (prayers) 43 we fed not the needy, 44 and we indulged in vain talk with those who indulged in vain talk, 45 And we have been belying the Day of Requital. 46 "Until there came to us (the death) that is certain." 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 Why now turn they away from the Admonishment, 49 as though they were terrified asses 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay; every one of them desires that he may be given pages spread out; 52 Nay, verily. They fear not the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily, this is an admonition 54 so whoever wills shall remember it. 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
