The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ (Allah) Most Gracious! 1 has taught the Qur'an, 2 He created man. 3 He taught distinctness. 4 The sun and the moon are in a reckoning. 5 The plants and trees prostrate before Him. 6 And the skies has He raised high, and has devised [for all things] a measure, 7 In order that ye may not transgress (due) balance. 8 weigh, therefore, [your deeds] with equity, and cut not the measure short! 9 And the earth He laid [out] for the creatures. 10 There are fruits of all kinds on it, and date-palms with their clusters sheathed, 11 And grain chaffed and other food. 12 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 13 He created man of fermented clay dried tinkling hard like earthen ware, 14 And He created the jinn of a flame of fire. 15 Which of the wonders of your Lord's power will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 16 (He is) Lord of the two Easts and Lord of the two Wests: 17 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 18 He released the two seas, meeting [side by side]; 19 between them a barrier they do not overpass. 20 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 21 From both of them emerge pearl and coral. 22 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 23 By His command, the ships with raised masts sail on the sea like mountains. 24 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 25
