Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 And We supported them so it was they who overcame. 116 We gave them the explicit Book, 117 And guided them to the Straight Path. 118 And We left for them (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 When he said to his people: Do you not guard (against evil)? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 "Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 but they rejected him, and thus will certainly be called to account; 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 129 "Peace be upon Elijah and his followers!" 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 132 And indeed, Lot was among the messengers. 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 save an old woman among those that tarried; 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 and night: will you not take heed? 138
