The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
When the sun is overthrown, 1 when the stars shall scatter away, 2 And when the mountains shall made to pass away; 3 And when full-term she-camels are neglected 4 when the savage beasts are gathered 5 the oceans are brought to a boil, 6 When souls are reunited (with the bodies) 7 And the little girl buried alive is asked 8 such as, "For what crime were they murdered?" 9 And when the pages are made public 10 and when heaven is laid bare, 11 hell is made to blaze, 12 and Paradise is brought near, 13 A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it]. 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 The planets withdrawing into themselves, 16 And the close of night, 17 And by the dawn when it breathes 18 This is indeed the recitation of an honoured Noble Messenger. (Angel Jibreel – peace and blessings be upon him.) 19 Owner of power, and high rank with (Allah) the Lord of the Throne, 20 With authority there, (and) faithful to his trust. 21 Your companion is not possessed; 22 he truly beheld [the angel - beheld] him on the clear horizon; 23 And he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) withholds not a knowledge of the unseen. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 It is naught but a reminder for the nations, 27 So let those who want, choose the right guidance 28 But you cannot will it unless God, the Lord of the Universe, so wills it [to show you that way]. 29
