The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)

286 verses, revealed in Medina after The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen) before The Spoils of War (Al-Anfaal)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

Alif Lam Mim. 1 This Book, there is no doubt in it, is a guide to those who guard (against evil). 2 Who believe in the unseen and establish the (daily) prayer; who spend out of what We have provided them. 3 those who believe in the revelation sent down to you and in what was sent before you, and firmly believe in the life to come -- 4 Those are upon [right] guidance from their Lord, and it is those who are the successful. 5 As for those who have rejected (these things), it is all the same to them whether you warn them or do not warn them: they are not going to believe. 6 God has sealed their hearts and ears, and veiled their eyes. For them is great deprivation. 7
