And truly, this (the Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists), 192 brought down by the Faithful Spirit 193 To (communicate) to your heart that you may be a warner 194 in a clear, Arabic tongue. 195 And indeed, it is [mentioned] in the scriptures of former peoples. 196 Was it not a sign for them known to the learned of the Children of Israel? 197 Had We revealed it to any one of the non-Arabs, 198 And he had recited it unto them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus it passes through the hearts of the criminals. 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. 201 But when it comes upon them suddenly, taking them unawares, 202 and they will say, 'Shall we be respited?' 203 Do they want to hasten Our torment? 204 Do you not see that even if We give them respite for years 205 and then the chastisement of which they were being warned were to come upon them, 206 what will it then avail them, the enjoyment of days they were given? 207 And never did We destroy a township which did not have Heralds of warning, 208 By way of reminder; and We never are unjust. 209 It was not the satans who brought it down: 210 it is not for them, nor are they able. 211 Lo! verily they are banished from the hearing. 212 So call not thou unto another god along with Allah, lest thou be of the doomed. 213 And warn, [O Muhammad], your closest kindred. 214 And be kind to him who follows you of the believers. 215 If they do not obey you, tell them: "I am not responsible for what you do." 216 And rely thou upon the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 who sees thee when thou standest [alone,] 218 And thy movements among those who prostrate themselves, 219 He is all-hearing and all-knowing. 220 Shall I inform you (of him) upon whom the Shaitans descend? 221 They descend on every forgerer steeped in sin, 222 They give ear, but most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets - it is the seduced who follow them. 224 Have you not seen how they wander in every valley, 225 And that they say that which they do not? 226 Except those [poets] who believe and do righteous deeds and remember Allah often and defend [the Muslims] after they were wronged. And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned. 227
Almighty God's Truth.
