Consider not that Allah is unaware of that which the Zalimun (polytheists, wrong-doers, etc.) do, but He gives them respite up to a Day when the eyes will stare in horror. 42 They will hurry on in fright, their heads lifted up, their gaze directed forward, their minds utterly void. 43 Warn men of the Day when the punishment will come upon them, and when the wrongdoers will say, "Our Lord, grant us respite for a short while. We will respond to Your call and will follow the messengers." [But God will answer], are you not those who swore that you would never suffer any decline? 44 Yet you dwelt in the dwellings of those who had exceeded themselves, and it was evident to you how We had dealt with them; and We held out examples before you." 45 Indeed the unbelievers contrived their plan, but it is in Allah's power to nullify their plan, even though their plans were such that would move even mountains. 46 So deem not thou that Allah is going to fail His promise to His apostles; verily Allah is Mighty, Lord of vengeance 47 On the day when the earth will be changed to other than the earth, and the heavens (also will be changed) and they will come forth unto Allah, the One, the Almighty, 48 And you will see the criminals that Day bound together in shackles, 49 Their shirts made of pitch and the fire covering their faces 50 so that Allah may requite each person for his deeds. Allah is swift in reckoning. 51 THIS IS A MESSAGE unto all mankind. Hence, let them be warned thereby, and let them know that He is the One and Only God; and let those who are endowed with insight take this to heart! 52
