The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 And hearkens to its Lord and is dutiful, 2 And when the earth is spread out 3 And throws out whatever it contains and is empty, 4 obeying its Lord, as it must do! 5 [then,] O man - thou [that] hast, verily, been toiling towards thy Sustainer in painful toil - then shalt thou meet Him! 6 Then as to him who is given his book in his right hand, 7 He will be judged with an easy account 8 And will return to his people full of joy. 9 But as for he who is given his record behind his back, 10 shall cry for “perdition,” 11 and he will enter the blazing flame. 12 Verily he was among his people joyous. 13 Verily he imagined that he would not be back. 14 Yea indeed! His Sustainer did see all that was in him! 15 No! I swear by the twilight 16 And by oath of the night and all that gathers in it. 17 And the Moon in her fullness: 18 Surely ye shall ride layer upon layer. 19 What aileth them, then, that they believe not 20 And when the Qur'an is read to them, they fall not prostrate, ۩ 21 Nay, but they who are bent on denying the truth give the lie [to this divine writ]! 22 But Allah has full knowledge of what they secrete (in their breasts) 23 Hence, give them the tiding of grievous suffering [in the life to come] 24 except for those who believe and do good deeds. Theirs shall be an unending reward. 25
True are the words of God the Almighty.

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
