The Mountain (Al-Toor)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the Mount (Sinai), 1 And the Scripture inscribed 2 In a Scroll unfolded; 3 And the House (Kaaba) that is visited, 4 And the lofty roof. 5 And [by] the sea filled [with fire], 6 Most surely the punishment of your Lord will come to pass; 7 Of it there is no averter. 8 A day on which the heavens will shake with a visible shaking. 9 and the mountains are in motion, 10 Then woe that day unto the deniers 11 Who are in [empty] discourse amusing themselves. 12 On that Day when they shall be pitched into the Fire of Gehenna (Hell), 13 (And it is said unto them): This is the Fire which ye were wont to deny. 14 Is it magic or do you not still see? 15 Roast in it, bear it with or without patience, it is the same, you are only being recompensed for that which you used to do' 16 Indeed the pious are in Gardens and peace. 17 rejoicing in all that their Sustainer will have granted them: for their Sustainer will have warded off from them all suffering through the blazing fire. 18 (And it is said unto them): Eat and drink in health (as a reward) for what ye used to do, 19 reclining on couches arranged in rows. And We shall wed them to fair maidens with large beautiful eyes. 20 And those who believe and whose progeny follow them in belief. We shall cause their progeny to join them, and We shall not diminish unto them aught of their own work. Every man is for that which he hath earned a pledge. 21 And We aided them with fruit and meat, whatever they desire. 22 They shall pass therein from one to another a cup wherein there shall be nothing vain nor any sin. 23 ۞ And young attendants like pearls within their shells, will go round. 24 And they will advance unto each other asking questions. 25 Saying, “Indeed before this, we were in our houses, worried.” 26 "But Allah has been gracious to us, and has saved us from the torment of the Fire. 27 We had prayed to Him; He is Kind and All-merciful". 28
