The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the inevitable event comes, 1 there is no denying its coming 2 Degrading (some) and exalting (others); 3 When the earth is violently shaken 4 The mountains bruised and crushed, 5 Turned to dust, floating in the air, 6 And you will become divided into three categories. 7 Those on the right hand; how happy shall those on the right hand be! 8 Then those of the left hand -- how (unhappy) will be those of the left hand! 9 And those who surpassed have indeed excelled. 10 those are they brought near (to their Lord) 11 They are in Gardens of peace. 12 (a throng of the ancients 13 And a few from the latter. 14 They will recline on jewelled couches 15 reclining upon them, facing one another [in love]. 16 There will circulate among them young boys made eternal 17 Carrying bowls and pitchers – and cups filled with wine flowing before them. 18 neither causing headaches, nor intoxication; 19 And fruits that they may like. 20 and the meat of any bird that they may desire; 21 and fair maidens with large, lustrous eyes 22 The like of the hidden pearls: 23 As recompense for all they had done. 24 Not frivolity will they hear therein, nor any taint of ill,- 25 All talk will be sound and upright. 26 The Companions of the Right (O Companions of the Right!) 27 They will be in (the shade) of thornless lote 28 And acacia covered with heaps of bloom, 29 and continuous shade, 30 And water gushing, 31 and fruits in abundance, 32 Unending, unforbidden, 33 And [upon] beds raised high. 34 We have created (their Companions) of special creation. 35 and shall have made them virgins, 36 Devoted [to their husbands] and of equal age, 37 with those who have attained to righteousness: 38

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
