۞ NAY, I call to witness the coming-down in parts [of this Qur'an] 75 (and that is indeed a mighty oath, did you but know it) 76 That this is indeed a qur'an Most Honourable, 77 (Inscribed) in the well-kept Book. 78 which none but the pure may touch; 79 [It is] a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 80 Is it this discourse that ye hold lightly? 81 And make denial thereof your livelihood? 82 Why, then, when (the soul) cometh up to the throat (of the dying) 83 And ye are then looking on. 84 But We (i.e. Our angels who take the soul) are nearer to him than you, but you see not, [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 27, Page 209] 85 if you are not subject to anyone's authority, 86 Bring back the soul (to its body), if you are truthful? 87 Then, if he is one of the honoured, 88 Then is relief, and flowers – and Gardens of peace. 89 And if he is of those on the right, – 90 'Peace be upon thee, Companion of the Right!' 91 If it is of those who have rejected the Truth and have gone astray, 92 there shall be a hospitality of boiling water 93 And roasting at hell-fire. 94 Verily this! this is the very truth. 95 So glorify the name of your Great Lord. 96
