The News (Al-Naba')
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej) before The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Of what do they ask one another? 1 (Is it) of the great announcement 2 About which they cannot agree. 3 Surely yes, they will soon come to know! 4 Verily, verily they shall soon (come to) know! 5 Have We not made the earth an expanse, 6 And the high hills bulwarks? 7 And it is We who created you in pairs. 8 And made sleep for you to rest, 9 and the night as a cover, 10 and the day as time for you to make a living? 11 And We have built above you seven strong ones, 12 And We have set therein lamps glowing. 13 And have sent down from the rainy clouds abundant water. 14 so that We might bring forth thereby grain, and herbs, 15 and gardens dense with follage. 16 Indeed, the Day of Judgement is an appointed time - 17 The day on which the trumpet shall be blown so you shall come forth in hosts, 18 and when the skies are opened and become [as wide-flung] gates; 19 and the mountains will be set in motion and become a mirage. 20 Hell will lie in wait (for its prey). 21 a resort for the rebellious; 22 for the rebellious ones and they will live therein for ages. 23 Neither coolness shall they taste therein nor any [thirst-quenching] drink 24 Save a boiling fluid and a fluid, dark, murky, intensely cold, 25 as a fitting recompense for their deeds. 26 For verily, they used not to look for a reckoning. 27 and they rejected outright Our signs; 28 but We have placed on record every single thing [of what they did]. 29 [And so We shall say:] "Taste, then, [the fruit of your evil doings,] for now We shall bestow on you nothing but more and more suffering!" 30

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
