The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER the sky full of great constellations, 1 And the promised day, 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 Cursed be the makers of the pit, 4 [Containing] the fire full of fuel, 5 As they sat around it 6 Witnessing what they had done to the believers! 7 And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!- 8 to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is the Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 For those who believe and do righteous deeds, will be Gardens; beneath which rivers flow: That is the great Salvation, (the fulfilment of all desires), 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 It is verily He who initiates and repeats. 13 And He only is the Oft Forgiving, the Beloved of His bondmen. 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 The great doer of what He will. 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 the armies of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 But God surrounds them from all sides. 20 This is indeed the glorious Qur'an 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
