3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah cried to Us, and how excellent was Our response! 75 We saved him and his people from the great distress, 76 And, his progeny, them We made the survivors (i.e. Shem, Ham and Japheth). 77 And left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 78 Peace on Noah among all men. 79 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 80 He was one of Our believing servants. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ Abraham was of the same faith: 83 Recall what time he came unto his Lord with a heart whole. 84 "Behold!" he said to his father and to his people, "What are these that you worship? 85 Is it a falsehood-god beside Allah that ye desire? 86 what, then, is your opinion of the Lord of the worlds? 87 Then he looked carefully at the stars 88 And said: "I am sick (of what you worship)!" 89 So they went away from him, turning back. 90 Then he turned towards their gods and said: "Why do you not eat (of these offerings)? 91 Why do you not speak?" 92 Then he turned against them secretly, smiting them with the right hand. 93 So the disbelievers came running towards him. 94 He said: Worship ye that which ye yourselves do carve 95 the while it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 They said: "Build for him a building (it is said that the building was like a furnace) and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 They wanted to harm him, but We humiliated them all. 98 And [Abraham] said: "Verily, I shall [leave this land and] go wherever my Sustainer will guide me!" 99 “My Lord! Give me a meritorious child.” 100 (In response to this prayer) We gave him the good news of a prudent boy; 101 And when he became capable of working with him, Ibrahim said, “O my son, I dreamt that I am sacrificing you therefore now consider what is your opinion”; he said, “O my father! Do what you are commanded! Allah willing, you will soon find me patiently enduring!” 102 But as soon as the two had surrendered themselves to [what they thought to be] the will of God, and [Abraham] had laid him down on his face, 103 We called out to him: "O Abraham, 104 thou hast already fulfilled [the purpose of] that dream-vision!" Thus, verily, do We reward the doers of good: 105 Indeed this was a clear test. 106 And We ransomed him with a Feat sacrifice. 107 And We left for him among the posterity: 108 Peace be unto Abraham! 109 Thus do We reward the good. 110 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 111 We gave Abraham the good news of Isaac, a prophet and a righteous man, 112 and We blessed him and Isaac: but among the offspring of these two there were [destined] to be both doers of good and such as would glaringly sin against themselves. 113

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
