Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 the living and the dead? 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
