The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By heaven of the constellations, 1 And by oath of the Promised Day. 2 And [by] the witness and what is witnessed, 3 Woe to the makers of the pit (of fire), 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel: 5 When they sat by it 6 witnessing what they were doing. 7 They had nothing against them, except that they believed in Allah, the All-Mighty, Worthy of all Praise! 8 Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and believing women, and then do not repent, will surely suffer the punishment of Hell, and the torment of burning. 10 Verily those who believed and worked righteous works, theirs shall be Gardens whereunder the rivers flow; that is the supreme achievement. 11 Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe. 12 He it is Who creates for the first time and He it is Who will create again, 13 and He is the Ever Forgiving, the Most Loving 14 – the Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 Has the story of the armies reached you, 17 of the Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Nay! those who disbelieve are in (the act of) giving the lie to the truth. 19 And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Qur'an. 21 in a Guarded Tablet. 22
