Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the sky and the night comer - 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 - The piercing Star! 3 There is no soul which is not guarded (by the two angels who record all of its deeds). 4 Now let man but think from what he is created! 5 He is created from a drop emitted- 6 Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs: 7 Most surely He is able to return him (to life). 8 upon the day when the secrets are tried, 9 he will have no power, nor anyone to help him. 10 By the rotating heavens 11 And by the Earth which opens out (for the gushing of springs or the sprouting of vegetation),- 12 Lo! this (Qur'an) is a conclusive word, 13 and is no idle tale. 14 As for them, they are but plotting a scheme, 15 And I plot a plot (against them). 16 So respite the unbelievers; delay with them awhile. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
