Thorns (Al-Masad)
5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab (an uncle of the Prophet), and perish he! 1 His substance availed him not, nor that which he earned. 2 he shall roast at a Flaming Fire, 3 and his wife, the carrier of the firewood, 4 Upon her neck a halter of strongly twisted rope. 5
God the Almighty always says the truth.
