The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
182 verses, revealed in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By oath of those who establish proper ranks. 1 and restraining [from evil] by a call to restraint, 2 and by the reciters of the Reminder: 3 Most surely your Allah is One: 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of whatever lies between the two, the Lord of the Easts. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the stars 6 And have placed therein a guard against any satan froward. 7 so they cannot listen to the High Assembly, for they are pelted from every side. 8 Being driven off, and for them is a perpetual chastisement, 9 Except those who eavesdrop and are pursued by a shooting flame. 10 So ask them if they are more difficult to create, or the rest We have created? Indeed (man) We created from fermented clay. 11 Truly dost thou marvel, while they ridicule, 12 And when they are reminded, they remember not. 13 and if they see any Sign, they laugh it away 14 and say: “This is nothing but plain sorcery. 15 Is it ever possible that after we die and are reduced to dust and (a skeleton of) bones, we will be raised to life? 16 “And also our forefathers?” 17 Say: Aye! and you shall be abject. 18 There will be a single stern rebuff and lo, they will be observing with their own eyes (all that they had been warned against). 19 They will say, "Ah! Woe to us! This is the Day of Judgment!" 20 'This is the Day of Decision, even that you cried lies to. 21
