Al-Baqarah 5 of 40

O children of Israel! Just recall to mind My favour wherewith I blessed you fulfil your covenant with Me and I shall fulfil My covenant with you, and fear Me alone. 40 And believe in what I have sent down confirming what is with you, and do not be the first to disbelieve it. Do not sell My verses for a little price and fear Me. 41 And do not mix up the truth with the falsehood, nor hide the truth while you know (it). 42 And establish prayer, and give the poor-rate, and bow down with those who bow down. 43 ۞ Enjoin you Al-Birr (piety and righteousness and each and every act of obedience to Allah) on the people and you forget (to practise it) yourselves, while you recite the Scripture [the Taurat (Torah)]! Have you then no sense? 44 Seek help with patience and prayer; this is indeed an exacting discipline, but not to the humble, 45 (They are those) who are certain that they are going to meet their Lord, and that unto Him they are going to return. 46
