And assuredly We have created human being from ringing clay of loam moulded. 26 And the jinn We created before from scorching fire. 27 And (remember) when thy Lord said unto the angels: Lo! I am creating a mortal out of potter's clay of black mud altered, 28 So when I have made him complete and breathed into him of My spirit, fall down making obeisance to him. 29 So, the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together. 30 Save Iblis. He refused to be among the prostrate. 31 Allah said: O Iblis! what aileth thou that thou art not with the prostrates? 32 He replied: 'I will not prostrate to a mortal You have created of clay, from molded mud' 33 "Go hence, execrable," (said the Lord), "from this place, 34 And lo! the curse shall be upon thee till the Day of Judgment. 35 Iblis prayed, "Lord, grant me respite until the Day of Judgment". 36 He said: Then lo! thou art of those reprieved 37 “Till the Day of a well-known time.” 38 "O my Lord," he said, "since You have led me into error I'll beguile them with the pleasures of the world and lead them astray, 39 "Except Your chosen, (guided) slaves among them." 40 (Allah) said: "This is the Way which will lead straight to Me." 41 Surely, you shall have no power over My true servants, except those misguided ones who choose to follow you. 42 Surely, Hell is the place to which they are destined, 43 It has seven gates, and through each gate a portion of them belong. 44
