The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ TaSeen. Those are the verses of the Koran, a clear Book, 1 it is guidance and good news for the believers 2 who establish their prayers, and pay the obligatory charity, and are certain of the Everlasting Life. 3 Verily, those who believe not in the Hereafter, We have made their deeds fair-seeming to them, so they wander about blindly. 4 Such are they for whom a grievous Penalty is (waiting); and in the Hereafter theirs will be the greatest loss. 5 But [as for thee, O believer,] verily, thou hast received this Qur'an out of the grace of One who is wise, all-knowing. 6 Moses said to his family, "I have seen some fire. I shall bring you some news about it or some fire so that you can warmyourselves". 7 So when he reached it, it was proclaimed, “Blessed is he who is in the location of the fire (Moosa) and those who are close to it (the angels); and Purity is to Allah, the Lord Of The Creation.” 8 [And God spoke thus:] "O Moses! Verily I alone am God, the Almighty, the Wise!" 9 And throw down thy staff! But when he saw it writhing as it were a demon, he turned to flee headlong; (but it was said unto him): O Moses! Fear not! the emissaries fear not in My presence, 10 “Except the one* who does injustice and then after evil changes it for virtue – then indeed I am Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful.” (Other than the Prophets.) 11 Thrust thy hand in thy bosom and it will come forth white without evil-among nine signs to Pharaoh and his people; they are an ungodly people.' 12 Then when Our enlightening signs came to them, they said, “This is clear magic.” 13 And they rejected them, while their [inner] selves were convinced thereof, out of injustice and haughtiness. So see how was the end of the corrupters. 14
