We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 And saved them and their people from great distress, 115 We helped them and they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture; 117 guided them to the right path, 118 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon on both of them in the latter (generations), 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 That is how We reward those who do good. 121 For they were two of our believing Servants. 122 So also was Elias among those sent (by Us). 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not be mindful of God? 124 Will you invoke Baal and forsake [God,] the best of artisans 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 he was among Our believing servants. 132 AND, BEHOLD, Lot was indeed one of Our message-bearers; 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 except for an old woman who remained behind. 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine].
