Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the dominion of the Universe, and Who has power over everything; 1 Who has created death and life, that He may test you which of you is best in deed. And He is the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving; 2 who created seven heavens one upon another. Thou seest not in the creation of the All-merciful any imperfection. Return thy gaze; seest thou any fissure? 3 Then look again and yet again, your sight will return to you in a state of humiliation and worn out. 4 And We adorned the lower heaven with lamps, and made them things to stone Satans; and We have prepared for them the chastisement of the Blaze. 5 And for those who disbelieve in their Lord there awaits the punishment of Gehenna (Hell) an evil arrival! 6 When they are thrown into it, they hear from it a [dreadful] inhaling while it boils up. 7 As it would burst with rage. Whenever a (fresh) host is flung therein the wardens thereof ask them: Came there unto you no warner? 8 And they will answer: "Surely; a warner came to us, but we denied him, and said: 'God did not send down any thing; you are greatly deluded, in fact.'" 9 They will say: "If we had listened and been wise, we would not have been among the inmates of Hell." 10 So they shall confess their sin. Far away they be, the fellows of the Blaze! 11 (As for) those who fear their Lord in secret, they shall surely have forgiveness and a great reward. 12 Whether you say a thing secretly or openly, He knows the innermost secrets of your hearts. 13 Would He not know, He Who has created, when He is All-Subtle, All-Aware? 14
