Nay, by the moon, 32 And the night when it withdraweth 33 by the brightening dawn, 34 Indeed hell is one of the greatest entities. 35 As a warning unto men, 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 Every person is a pledge for what he has earned, 38 Except the people of the right hand, 39 [Who will be] in gardens, questioning each other 40 and will ask of the criminals, 41 "What has brought you into hell-fire?" 42 They will answer: We were not of those who prayed 43 Nor did we feed the wretched. 44 "And we used to talk falsehood (all that which Allah hated) with vain talkers. 45 and we gave the lie to the Day of Judgement 46 Till death overtook us. 47 And so, of no benefit to them could be the intercession of any that would intercede for them. 48 What is the matter with people that they are turning away from this Exhortation, 49 like startled wild donkeys 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Indeed, everyone of them desires to have sheets of revelations unfolded before them -- 52 No indeed; but they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 No indeed; surely it is a Reminder; 54 So whosoever willeth may heed it. 55 But they will not remember except as God wills: He is worthy to be feared, and He is worthy of forgiving 56
