Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven becomes cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 when the seas overflow; 3 And when the graves are ransacked, 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 Honorable recorders, 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 and which they shall not [be able to] evade. 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 Again: what will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
