Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By heaven and the night-star! 1 And what will explain to thee what the Night-Visitant is?- 2 The piercing star! 3 No soul is there but hath over it a watcher. 4 Let man consider what he was made of: 5 He was created of spurting water 6 Coming from between the back and the ribs. 7 Surely He is able to bring him back 8 On the day when hidden thoughts shall be searched out. 9 he shall have no power, and no helper. 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 and by the earth bursting with vegetation; 12 Verily! This (the Quran) is the Word that separates (the truth from falsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil). 13 And no trifle. 14 They are planning a scheme, 15 but I shall bring all their scheming to nought. 16 Therefore grant a delay to the Unbelievers: Give respite to them gently (for awhile). 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
