The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 The very brightly shining star! 3 [for] no human being has ever been left unguarded. 4 So let man consider from what he is created. 5 He is created from a drop emitted- 6 issuing from between the backbone and the breastbone: 7 Verily, (Allah) is Able to bring him back (to life)! 8 On the day when hidden thoughts shall be searched out. 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 By the rotating heavens 11 And by oath of the earth which flourishes with it. 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 And it is no joke. 14 They are devising a guile, 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
