Al-Dukhaan 3 of 3
The tree of al-Zaqqum 43 Food of the sinner. 44 It will be like molted brass which will boil in the bellies 45 Like the boiling of scalding water. 46 [And the word will be spoken:] "Seize him, [O you forces of hell,] and drag him into the midst of the blazing fire: 47 “Then pour on his head the punishment of boiling water.” 48 Taste it - thou who [on earth] hast considered thyself so mighty, so noble! 49 This is the very thing which you [deniers of the truth] were wont to call in question!" 50 As to the Righteous (they will be) in a position of Security, 51 among gardens and fountains, 52 Dressed in fine silk and (also) in thick silk, facing each other, 53 Even so (it will be). And We shall wed them unto fair ones with wide, lovely eyes. 54 They will be offered all kinds of fruits, in peace and security. 55 They shall not taste therein death except the first death, and He will save them from the punishment of the hell, 56 By the beneficence of your Lord. This will be the great success. 57 THUS, THEN, [O Prophet,] have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own [human] tongue, so that men might take it to heart. 58 So be watchful, they too are watching. 59

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
