Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

I CALL TO witness the early hours of morning, 1 And the night when it covers with darkness. 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, 3 And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former, 4 Verily your Lord will soon give you so amply that you will be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 Did He not find you perplexed, and show you the way? 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 Therefor the orphan oppress not, 9 Therefor the beggar drive not away, 10 And as to the favour of thine Lord, discourse thou thereof. 11

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
