Therefore remind! by thy Lord's blessing thou art not a soothsayer neither possessed. 29 Do they say: "He is a poet for whom we expect an adverse turn of fortune?" 30 Say, "Wait, I too am waiting with you". 31 Do their minds prompt them to say such things, or are they a people immersed in transgression?” 32 Do they say: “He has himself fabricated the Qur'an?” No; the truth is that they are altogether averse to believing. 33 Then let them bring a discourse like it, if they speak truly. 34 Or, were they created out of nothing? Or, were they their own creators? 35 [And] have they created the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they have no certainty of anything! 36 Or are with them the treasures of your Lord? Or are they the tyrants with the authority to do as they like? 37 Have they a ladder up to heaven by means of which they can overhear? Then let their listeners bring a clear proof. 38 Or has He (Allah) only daughters and you have sons? 39 Or is it that you ask of them any recompense so that they should fear to be weighed down under the burden of debt? 40 Or is it that they have access to (the Truths in) the realm beyond sense-perception which they are writing down? 41 Or, do they desire to outwit? The unbelievers are the outwitted. 42 Or have they any god beside Allah? Glorified be Allah from all that they ascribe as partner (unto Him)! 43 If they should see a part of the heavens falling down, they would say, "A mass of clouds," 44 So leave them until they meet their Day in which they will be struck insensible - 45 The Day when their plotting will avail them nothing and no help shall be given them. 46 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is a punishment beyond that. But most of them know not. 47 And wait thou patiently the judgment of thy Lord; verily thou art before Our eyes; and hallow the praise of thy Lord when thou uprisest. 48 And in the night-time also hymn His praise, and at the setting of the stars. 49
