T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Ta Ha 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to you that you should be burdened, 2 but only as a reminder to him who tears, 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens, 4 the All-compassionate sat Himself upon the Throne; to Him belongs 5 To Him belongs what is in the heavens and on earth, and all between them, and all beneath the soil. 6 And if thou speakest the word aloud, then verily He knoweth the secret and the most hidden. 7 God is the only Lord and to Him belong all the exalted Names. 8 And did the news of Moosa reach you? 9 Behold, he saw a fire: So he said to his family, "Tarry ye; I perceive a fire; perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 When he approached it, a voice called out: 11 Verily I! I am thy Lord: so take off thy shoes; verily thou art into the holy valley, Tuwa. 12 And I have chosen thee, so hearken unto that which is inspired. 13 I am God. There is no deity save Me; so worship Me alone, and say your prayers in My remembrance. 14 The Hour is coming; I would conceal it that every soul may be recompensed for its labours. 15 Do not let those who disbelieve in it and follow their desires bar you from it, or you will perish. 16 "And what is that in your right hand, O Musa (Moses)?" 17 'Why, it is my staff,' said Moses. 'I lean upon it, and with it I beat down leaves to feed my sheep; other uses also I find in it. 18 Allah said: cast it down, O Musa! 19 So he threw it down, and all of a sudden, it turned into a fast-moving serpent. 20 He said: Grasp it and fear not. We shall return it to its former state. 21 And face what is to come with patience, your hand will not be tarnished with blame: Another sign 22 so that We might make thee aware of some of Our greatest wonders. 23 "Go thou to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds." 24
