The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the Occurrence occurs, 1 there is no denying its coming 2 Abasing exalting. 3 This will happen when the earth is shaken, shaken 4 and the mountains will crumble 5 Becoming dust scattered abroad, 6 [on that Day] you shall be divided into three groups. 7 Then (as to) the companions of the right hand; how happy are the companions of the right hand! 8 And those on the left how (wretched) are those on the left! 9 And the foremost are the foremost, 10 (The foremost ones) will be the nearest ones to God 11 In gardens of bliss [will they dwell] 12 A throng of the ancients, 13 And a few from those of later times. 14 On studded thrones. 15 Reclining thereon facing each other. 16 There wait on them immortal youths 17 With vessels, pitchers and a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring - 18 Unheady, uninebriating; 19 and with fruit of any kind that they may choose, 20 And flesh of fowls that they desire. 21 And pure, beautiful ones, 22 like pearls preserved in their shells, 23 shall be their recompense for their deeds. 24 Therein they hear no vain or sinful discourse. 25 (Naught) but the saying: Peace, (and again) Peace. 26 The companions of the right - what are the companions of the right? 27 Amid thornless lote-trees, 28 Bananatrees, piled 29 and continuous shade, 30 and gushing water, 31 and fruits in abundance, 32 undiminished and never denied 33 and raised couches 34 We have created maidens perfectly 35 and made them virgins, 36 Lovers, friends, 37 For the Companions of the Right Hand. 38

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
