Hizb 46

So also was Jonah among those sent (by Us). 139 Recall what time he ran away unto a laden ship. 140 And then drew lots and was of those rejected; 141 So the fish swallowed him while he did that for which he blamed himself 142 Had he not been of them who glorify Allah, 143 He would have tarried in the belly thereof till the Day when they are raised. 144 ۞ But We cast him, upon the shore, and he was ill, 145 and caused a gourd tree to grow over him, 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand, rather they exceeded. 147 They believed in him so We granted them enjoyment for an appointed time. 148 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), whether the daughters are for your Lord and the sons for them! 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Lo! verily it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 'God has begotten?' They are truly liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 Do you not understand? 155 Or, is there for you a clear warranty 156 Then produce your writ, if ye are truthful. 157 They have established a kinship between Allah and the angels; and the angels know well that these people will be arraigned (as culprits). 158 God is too glorious to be described as they describe Him 159 except for the sincere worshipers of Allah. 160 You and whatever you worship 161 You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him 162 unless it be such as rushes towards the blazing fire [of his own accord]! 163 [The angels say], "There is not among us any except that he has a known position. 164 And most surely we are they who draw themselves out in ranks, 165 We glorify God." 166 They used to say: 167 Had we but an admonition as had the ancients. 168 We would have been the chosen creatures of God." 169 Yet (now that it is come) they disbelieve therein; but they will come to know. 170 And verily Our word went forth of old unto Our bondmen sent (to warn) 171 That they verily would be helped, 172 And surely, only Our army will be victorious. 173 So, (O Prophet), leave them alone for a while, 174 and see them [for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 175 Do they really wish to hasten Our punishment? 176 But when it shall descend in their court, evil shall then be the morning of the warned ones. 177 So turn away from them for a while. 178 And see thou: they themselves shall presently see. 179 Your Lord, the Lord of Honor, is too exalted to be considered as they describe Him. 180 And peace be upon all His message-bearers! 181 And all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. 182
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
