[AND the tribe of] Thamud gave the lie to all [Our] warnings; 23 They said, "Should we follow only one person among us. We shall be clearly in error and in trouble (if we do so). 24 Hath the remembrance been given unto him alone among us? Nay, but he is a rash liar. 25 They will know tomorrow who is the insolent liar. 26 We are sending to them as a trial, a shecamel, so watch them and have patience. 27 And let them know that the water [of their wells] is to be divided between them, with each share of water equitably apportioned." 28 In response they called their companion – he therefore caught and hamstrung the she-camel. 29 Ah! how (terrible) was My Penalty and My Warning! 30 We sent upon them a single blast of sound and they were left like hay to be used by the cattle. 31 And in truth We have made the Qur'an easy to remember; but is there any that remembereth? 32 The people of Lot cried lies to the warnings. 33 We let loose on all of them a squall of claystones, except for the house of Lot whom We saved at dawn 34 a blessing from Us; even so We recompense him who is thankful. 35 And he had already warned them of Our assault, but they disputed the warning. 36 They even solicited of him his guests, but We obliterated their eyes: 'Now, taste My punishment and My warnings' 37 And in truth the punishment decreed befell them early in the morning. 38 'Taste now My chastisement and My warnings!' 39 And indeed, We have made the Quran easy to understand and remember, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)? 40

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
