And those who disbelieve say: when we have become dust, we and our fathers, shall we, for sooth, be brought forth? 67 We were promised this, forsooth, we and our fathers. (All) this is naught but fables of the men of old. 68 Say: "Travel in the land and see how (bad) was the end of sinners." 69 Do not grieve over them, nor feel distressed at their schemes. 70 And they say: when will this Promise be fufilled if ye say sooth? 71 Say, "It may be that a part of what you would hasten on is close behind you." 72 And verily thine Lord is full of grace for mankind, but most of them give not thanks. 73 But, verily, thy Sustainer knows all that their hearts conceal as well as all that they bring into the open: 74 There is not a thing hidden in the heaven and earth except that it is in a Clear Book. 75 Lo! this Qur'an narrateth unto the Children of Israel most of that concerning which they differ. 76 And lo! it is a guidance and a mercy for believers. 77 Indeed your Lord judges between them with His command; and He is the Almighty, the All Knowing. 78 So rely upon Allah; indeed, you are upon the clear truth. 79 Indeed the dead* do not listen to your call nor do the deaf* listen to your call, when they flee turning back. (The dead and deaf implies the disbelievers.) 80 Nor can you be a guide to the blind out of their error; you cannot make to bear (any one) except those who believe in Our communications, so they submit. 81 ۞ When the Word falls on them, We shall bring forth for them out of the earth a beast that shall speak unto them: 'Mankind had no faith in Our signs.' 82
