Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 And gave a little and [then] refrained? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Has not he been informed of the contents of the Book of Moses 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his engagements?- 37 That no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another- 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 And that his effort is going to be seen - 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 and that it is He who makes to laugh, and that makes to weep, 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 And that He createth the two spouses, the male and the female, 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 and on Him depends the life hereafter. 47 that He it is Who bestowed wealth and riches, 48 and that He is the Lord of (the star) Sirius, 49 It was He who totally destroyed the former 'Ad 50 Thamud, 51 and before them the nation of Noah, they exceeded in evil and were insolent. 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 About which, then, of thy Sustainer's powers canst thou [still] remain in doubt? 55 This (Muhammad SAW) is a warner (Messenger) of the (series of) warners (Messengers) of old. 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 [although] none but God can unveil it.... 58 Do you then find these tidings strange? 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62
