When your Lord called out to Moses, saying, "Go to the wrongdoing people, 10 the people of Pharaoh: do they have no fear?" 11 He replied, "Lord, I am afraid that they will call me a liar. 12 "My breast will be straitened. And my speech may not go (smoothly): so send unto Aaron. 13 "And (further), they have a charge of crime against me; and I fear they may slay me." 14 (It was) said: "By no means. Go with My signs, both of you. I am verily with you and I hear. 15 And go, both of you, unto Pharaoh and say, 'Behold, we bear a message from the Sustainer of all the worlds: 16 Then send with us the children of Israel. 17 (Pharaoh) said (unto Moses): Did we not rear thee among us as a child? And thou didst dwell many years of thy life among us, 18 and you did the deed which you did. You are certainly ungrateful." 19 Said he, 'Indeed I did it then, being one of those that stray; 20 Then I fled for fear of you. Then my Lord bestowed wisdom and authority on me and made me one of the Messengers. 21 That is a blessing thou reproachest me with, having enslaved the Children of Israel.' 22 Pharaoh said, 'And what is the Lord of all Being?' 23 Said Moosa, “Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them; if you believe.” 24 (Pharaoh) said to those around: "Did ye not listen (to what he says)?" 25 (Moses) said: "Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers from the beginning!" 26 Pharaoh said, "This messenger who has been sent to you is surely possessed!" 27 Moses continued, "He is the Lord of the East and West and all that is between them, if only you would think". 28 Pharaoh said: "If you take any god other than me, I will certainly make you one of those (who are rotting) in prison." 29 He said: Even though I show thee something plain? 30 Fir'awn said: forth with it then, if thou art of the truth-tellers. 31 Then he cast down his staff, and lo! it was a serpent manifest. 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo! it appeared white to the onlookers. 33
