(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Has he knowledge of the Unknown that he perceives everything? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? -- 37 Certainly no one will bear the responsibility of the sins of another, 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 then, he shall be recompensed for it in full repayment 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep 43 And that it is He who causes death and gives life 44 and that it is He who creates the two kinds - the male and the female 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 and that it is He who gives riches and causes to hoard, 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 And Thamud (people). He spared none of them. 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 And the subverted cities He overthrew. 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 Then which of the gifts of thy Lord, (O man,) wilt thou dispute about? 55 This is a Warner, of the (series of) Warners of old! 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 Do you marvel then at this discourse (the Koran)? 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
