The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
When the sun is folded up, 1 And when the stars shall fall; 2 and when the mountains are moved, 3 the young barren camels are abandoned, 4 When the wild beasts are herded together (in the human habitations); 5 And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; 6 And when the souls are paired 7 And when the girl-child that was buried alive is asked 8 For what crime she was killed; 9 And when the books are spread, 10 and when heaven is laid bare, 11 And when the hell is kindled up, 12 and Paradise brought nigh: 13 (Then) every soul will know what it had prepared (for itself). 14 So verily, I swear by the planets that recede (i.e. disappear during the day and appear during the night). 15 The stars which rise and set, 16 and the night that falls, 17 The rising dawn, 18 behold, this [divine writ] is indeed the [inspired] word of a noble apostle, 19 endowed with power and held in honour by the Lord of the Throne -- 20 Obeyed one; then trustworthy. 21 Nor is your companion distracted. 22 And he has already seen Gabriel in the clear horizon. 23 and he is not one to begrudge others the knowledge [of whatever has been revealed to him] out of that which is beyond the reach of human Perception. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 Whither, then, will you go? 26 That is but an advice to the entire creation! 27 For those of you who desire to walk the path that is straight, 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
