Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 We saved them and their people from great distress; 115 And We supported them so it was they who overcame. 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 121 Surely they were both of Our believing servants. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you worship Ba`al and abandon the Best Creator. 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they belied him, so they will be among the arraigned (in Hell), 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 131 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 when We delivered him and his people all together, 134 except for an old woman who remained behind. 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine]. [See the "Book of History" by Ibn Kathir]. 136 And most surely you pass by them in the morning, 137 And at night-time; have ye then no sense? 138
