The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful 1

All praise is due to God alone, the Sustainer of all the worlds, 2 The Compassionate, the Merciful. 3 Master of the Day of Judgment. 4 Thee alone do we worship and of Thee alone do we seek help, 5 Show us the straight path, 6 The way of those upon whom Thou hast bestowed Thy blessings, not of those who have been condemned [by Thee,] nor of those who go astray! 7

True are the words of God the Almighty.
