Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

By the midmorning, 1 By the night when it darkeneth, 2 Thy Lord has neither forsaken thee nor hates thee 3 And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present. 4 And presently thy Lord shall give unto thee so that thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Found He not thee an orphan, so He sheltered thee? 6 Did He not find you a wanderer so He guided you? 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him]. 9 And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him]. 10 But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim! 11
