The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the heaven and the night-comer 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 It is the piercing star - 3 There is no soul but has a protector over it. 4 Let the human reflect of what he is created. 5 He has been created from an ejected drop of fluid 6 that issues from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 By the sky with its returning rain, 11 and the earth, bursting forth with plants! 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 And no trifle. 14 They are devising guile, 15 And I (too) will make a scheme. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal you gently with them for a while. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
