T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha. 1 We have not sent down the Quran unto you (O Muhammad SAW) to cause you distress, 2 Nay, it is a reminder to him who fears: 3 A revelation from Him who created the earth and the high ascending skies, 4 the Most Gracious, established on the throne of His almightiness? 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth, and all that is in between, and all that is beneath the soil. 6 Whether you say a thing aloud or inaudibly, He has knowledge of the secret and the hidden. 7 God is the only Lord and to Him belong all the exalted Names. 8 Has the story of Moses reached you? 9 When he saw fire, he said to his family: Stop, for surely I see a fire, haply I may bring to you therefrom a live coal or find a guidance at the fire. 10 So when he came to it, a voice was uttered: O Musa: 11 I am your Lord. Take off your shoes, for you are in Towa, the sacred valley. 12 And I have chosen thee, so hearken unto that which is inspired. 13 I Am the only God. Worship Me and be steadfast in prayer to have My name always in your mind. 14 "Behold, [although] I have willed to keep it hidden, the Last Hour is bound to come, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with what he strove for [in life]. 15 Let not the unbelievers who follow their vain desires make you forget the Day of Judgment, lest you will perish." 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Moses? 17 He said: This is my staff whereon I lean, and wherewith I bear down branches for my sheep, and wherein I find other uses. 18 Said He, 'Cast it down, Moses!' 19 So he threw it down, and lo, it became a running serpent. 20 'Take it, and do not fear' He said, 'We will restore it to its former state. 21 And press your hand to your side, it shall come out white without evil: another sign: 22 So We would show thee some of Our greatest signs. 23 "Go thou to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds." 24
