O Prophet! Tell thy wives and thy daughters, as well as all [other] believing women, that they should draw over themselves some of their outer garments [when in public]: this will be more conducive to their being recognized [as decent women] and not annoyed. But [withal,] God is indeed much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace! 59 ۞ If the hypocrites and those who have tainted hearts and the scandal mongers of Madinah do not desist, We shall surely give you authority over them and their days in that city will be numbered. 60 They shall be cursed from all around and they shall be ruthlessly killed wherever they are seized. 61 God's wont with those who passed away before; and thou shall find no changing the wont of God. 62 People ask you regarding the Last Day; proclaim, “Its knowledge is only with Allah; and what do you know, the Last Day may really be near!” 63 Allah has cursed the unbelievers and has prepared for them a Blazing Fire; 64 Wherein they will abide for ever, and they will find neither a Wali (a protector) nor a helper. 65 On the Day when their faces shall be tossed about in the fire, they will exclaim, "Oh, would that we had paid heed unto God, and paid heed unto the Apostle!" 66 They will say: "O our Lord, we obeyed our leaders and the elders, but they only led us astray. 67 Our Lord, give them double punishment and curse them with a mighty curse." 68
