Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 storming tempestuously 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 excusing or warning, 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 for an appointed term? 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 The living and the dead, 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
