The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 The One Who created, and then made proper. 2 who determined and guided, 3 Who brought forth the pasture, 4 Then turneth it to russet stubble. 5 We shall make you recite and then you will not forget, 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 And We shall create the means of ease for you. 8 Therefor remind (men), for of use is the reminder. 9 He who fears [God] will heed the reminder, 10 but the most wretched shall flout it, 11 he who [in the life to come] shall have to endure the great fire 12 Then he neither dies in it, nor lives. 13 Prosperous is he who has cleansed himself, 14 and remembers his Sustainer's name, and prays [unto Him]. 15 Nay, you prefer the life of this world; 16 even though the life hereafter will be better and will last forever. 17 Indeed, this is in the former scriptures, 18 the scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
