The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

WOE TO EVERY slanderer, back-biter, 1 Who amasses wealth and considers it a provision (against mishap); 2 thinking his wealth will render him immortal! 3 By no means. He will be thrown into Hutama. 4 Would that you understood what that crushing torment is like. 5 Fire of Allah, Kindled, 6 Which mounteth up to the hearts. 7 Surely it shall be closed over upon them, 8 In pillars stretched forth (i.e. they will be punished in the Fire with pillars, etc.). 9

Almighty God's Truth.
