The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven breaks apart. 1 And it listens to the command of its Lord – and that befits it. 2 And when the earth has been extended 3 And has cast out all that was in it and became empty, 4 And obeys its Lord and it must. 5 O man! Verily, you are returning towards your Lord with your deeds and actions (good or bad), a sure returning, so you will meet (i.e. the results of your deeds which you did). 6 Then as for he who is given his record in his right hand, 7 will be easy, 8 And he shall return unto his people joyfully. 9 And as to him who shall be given his book from behind his back 10 shall cry for “perdition,” 11 And [enter to] burn in a Blaze. 12 He once lived among his family joyfully; 13 He verily deemed that he would never return (unto Allah). 14 Yes indeed, his Lord was ever watching him. 15 So indeed I call to witness the evening twilight, 16 by the night and all that it envelops; 17 And [by] the moon when it becomes full 18 that you will certainly pass through one stage after another. 19 So what is [the matter] with them [that] they do not believe, 20 and when the Qur'an is recited to them, they do not prostrate themselves? ۩ 21 No, the unbelievers only belie, 22 And Allah knows best what they hide, 23 So announce to them a painful punishment~ 24 Except to those who believe and work righteous deeds: For them is a Reward that will never fail. 25
